ABOUT YOUR INSTRUCTOR
Vanguard Music Academy was founded in 1998 by Eric Marts. Since then Eric has trained equipped hundreds of musicians all across the northwest and empowered them to pursue their musical dreams and goals, whether for their own personal enjoyment or to serve in the music industry as musicians, singers, songwriters, composers, performers, producers, etc. He has over 25 years’ experience as a professional music teacher and 35+ years’ experience in the music industry. Eric and his wife, Hannah, are both passionate musicians and together they have seven children.

OUR MISSION
The mission of Vanguard Music Academy is to effectively train, equip and empower the next generation of musicians with the skills and knowledge they will need to pursue the gifts, talents, goals and vision they have for music and to positively impact the culture through the music they create.
OUR LESSONS
Providing excellent, fun and inspiring lessons is our goal at Vanguard. Students are taught by an instructor that is as passionate about teaching as he is about music. They not only receive professional training on their instrument of choice, but also many other essential skill sets that will empower them as musicians such as music theory, sight reading, ear training, improvisation skill, performance skills and more!
LESSONS
Professionally taught lessons are offered on acoustic guitar, electric guitar, bass guitar, piano, and voice in a wide variety of musical styles.
SONGWRITING
For decades Eric has been training and coaching songwriters and helping them to turn their creative ideas into inspiring and impacting music.
RECORDING
Our on-site recording studio, Clarion Vox, is an incredible resource for musicians who want support recording their original music!
